The pay was adequate, but if you want a balance of work, and having time for a social life, you are better off looking elsewhere. Your schedule also has no consistency, leaving you to work opening, mid, and closing shifts every week.

You are also required to work 2 weekends out of a month, leaving you with very little free time for yourself. If you do not have a flexible schedule look elsewhere. They could never find new workers to relieve you from doing overtime. This is all due to the fact that upper management was in my experience terrible. I would sometimes have to work two to three 10 hour shifts a week. From my experience, from the beginning of COVID-19 (early February-March) all the way until I left in mid June, I worked close to, and sometimes above 50 hour work weeks. But if you plan on working full-time in one of the specialty departments, expect to potentially work one to three 10-11 hour shift on some weeks. This may not apply to part timers, and cashiers. Throughout the store, and especially in my department, we were always short staffed, and you were required to work very long hours. The bad, is that the management is from my experience not great. The work environment is dependent on your colleagues, my experience was great. They train you on the job, so in the case you want to move to a different position, you can do so without any prior experience. I had 9 months of work experience at Menards, 3 of which were being a cashier, and the other 6 as part of their cabinetry department.
